Executive Compensation

Executive compensation at Northumberland Hills Hospital is determined through performance metrics and a robust external benchmarking analysis. As well, the performance of each senior leader is measured annually against leadership competencies, annual goals and a 360-degree component that solicits feedback from superiors, subordinates and peers.

A special sub-committee of the Hospital's Board of Directors reviews the compensation and performance of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief of Staff (COS) and makes an assessment of whether or not they have succeeded in achieving annual goals and objectives.

The CEO is responsible and accountable for the performance and compensation of the senior executive team.

NOTE: As per the Excellent Care for All Act, all executive compensation at NHH remains frozen. Performance evaluations continue, however there is no opportunity to increase compensation through performance.
