Testing Excellence

NHH’s Laboratory services provide advanced and updated diagnostic laboratory testing in support of our Medical, Surgical, Obstetrics, Dialysis and Chemotherapy areas of care.

Onsite Laboratory testing includes:

• Hematology
• Chemistry
• Transfusion Medicine
• Spirometry and Full Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT)

Services for Cytology, Pathology and Microbiology are provided by our regional partner, Peterborough Regional Health Centre.

NHH is networked to the Ontario Laboratory Information Service (OLIS). Lab orders and test results can be viewed by authorized health care providers without duplication of services and testing.

The NHH Laboratory does not provide outpatient blood work services. If your family physician is suggesting you come to the Hospital for blood work we recommend you contact us prior to presenting to the Laboratory office at the number listed below.
